As most of you know, back on August 8th, 2017, my husband of 23 years left me for another woman. 24 days later her returned only to kick me out of my home and put me on the streets ad he moved his new girlfriend into our home. When this happened, I had no place to set up my computer to continue working here on IBTheme and if it were not for Pete and Wotsit, I would have lost my business. I have spent the last 9 months struggling to find a way to heal from the tragedy of losing my home and my husband and try to work to save the money to get in to my own apartment so I could get back to IBTheme. By God's grace and amazing will, I am happy to report that I am ready to return FULL TIME / PERMANENTLY to IBTheme and get the site booming again. Right now, for the next 2½ weeks I'll have to work from my laptop which has me limited on what I can do, but Just 1st I will be moving in to my new apartment and setting up my office to work full throttle. I am going to use these next 2 weeks to catch up on the new coding and everything I have missed so I can get things back to normal as we are use to. A lot has changed, here on the site and within the underlying software and theme templates. I expect to be back up to standards within a week or so, but for now, please know that I am here at my desk working, getting caught up and also working on a new theme design to celebrate my long awaited return. Also, I no longer use my married name. My divorce will be final soon but I've already returned to using my maiden name. Sherri L. Doane One of the unfortunate things that happened is I lost my desk with hutch and my office chair in all this mess. (long story) I have to save up to get a new one that matches all my office furniture. Thankfully I found on Amazon where they still sell the same desk, hutch & chair so for starters I'll be using a little fold out table & fold out chair to set my computer on until I have made the money to replace the ones I had. Desk $339 ► https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001DTJRJ2/?coliid=I54TESTO3UPNT&colid=HKID7L09O846&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Hutch $119 ► https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001VNWGMK/?coliid=I2TQ3C1X99QGB&colid=HKID7L09O846&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Chair $84.99 ► https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LCRVXYC/?coliid=I3STYVIGE83W8V&colid=HKID7L09O846&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Total ► $662 for all 3 items I am excited to be back and I look forward to making you guys very happy with new designs and regular, steady upgrades of all our current designs. If you need any custom work, I will be available for that too. Thank you, Sherri Doane

A belated shame to see you go, you're right, social media has definitely taken its toll. I think Forums still have their niche roles in the right places, though. Hoping all the Facebook controversy will be a positive boon for forum communities and honourable admins, as more people come to understand social media and it's infrastructure was never free, and so they unwittingly made a deal with the devil and probably sold their digital souls in the process. Forums IMHO, are great for more in-depth topics of conversation that are good when it comes to easier to find and access long term information, whereas social media is more suited for keeping up with one's mates and for quick, disposable messages that don't really matter and sadly in many cases, to accommodate foul mouthed rants from people without the facts and a haven for trolls. Possibly this is the reason you hardly ever, if never, see Google results for social media and mostly results come from forums, blogs and websites.

As you all know by now, I have returned to doing IPB theme / skin designs full time now that my divorce is behind me and my new life has begun. My imagination has been flowing overtime so there will be a LOT of new IPB themes rolling out in the days and weeks to come. Starting with these two new themes you see live on the site right now; "Business One" and "Business Two". In addition to a lot of new themes, I also went browsing through all the old IBSkin skin designs from years ago and I have decided to bring a few oldies but goodies back to life and get them revamped to work with the new IPB 4 series. Unfortunately, I will have to drop a lot of the cool design elements I use to have in the older skins because they will not work on responsive view for modern technology, but I will be able to redesign them a bit to insure they look familiar and amazing and work beautifully at the same time. Now is the time... if any of you have any new theme ideas and requests, reply here and throw 'em at me. I want to hear what you all are hoping for and do my best to fulfill as many of your wishes as I can. Big Hugs! Sherri L. Doane (formally Sherri L. Jones) www.sherrildoane.com

Sherri, I like just about anything that you have created in the past. But one theme that always jumped out for me was Dusty Rose. Beautiful graphics, easy on the eyes and so classy. Just the right theme for a feminine site! Would you consider revamping this one and bringing it back? Just a thought..... and me hoping ofcourse.... hahahaha

So IPS have again been upgrading the software and bring us 4.3.5 at moment its in beta so if have your forum setup to upgrade beta builds just be-careful as there many changes to way the template and css work at moment i am working on building the new update ready for finial version for people may not visit IPS Community here where ips update so far Beta 1 Areas to test These are the areas where there has been the most significant changes and we'd appreciate a look over. I've also highlighted the appropriate change in the change log below. Filtering members in the AdminCP member list, especially using the advanced search options. If using Elasticsearch: how activity streams are affected by splitting topics (including both moving posts into a new topic and an existing one), especially activity streams which show unread content. If using Elasticsearch: making sure that going to a very high page number in paginated content (or even beyond the maximum page number) works correctly with nothing logged to the system log. Subscriptions in Commerce - especially doing unusual actions (merging two members, deleting a member) when subscriptions are applicable. Refunding and crediting transactions in Commerce - especially chaining multiple of these actions together. Private albums in Gallery - especially that moderators with permission can access everything they should be able to access. Recurring Calendar events, especially created by a member in one timezone and viewed by a member in a different timezone, always shows correctly and recurs at the expected interval. Matrixes (the tables of checkboxes you see when editing permissions for a group or when defining a tax rate in Commerce, etc.) handle errors correctly. Full change log Core - Members & Accounts: Language tweak to clarify the "Remove unvalidated members" setting. Fixed filters based on joined, last post or last visit time, and if bulk mails are allowed in the AdminCP member list and member filters (for example for group promotion) not fetching correct results. Fixed administrators receiving multiple "new device" emails when logging into the AdminCP if that device has not be used to log into the front-end. Fixed broken images in signatures and custom fields in the AdminCP member profile. Fixed registering through alternate login handlers (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) not logging that the new member accepted the terms and mailing list subscription. Fixed log which shows in member history when a member is promoted by group promotion showing the wrong old group. Fixed error with Wordpress login handler after access token expires. Fixed issue where the "import members from csv" feature did not check if the ID/display name/email address is too large. Fixed error in AdminCP search results for members which do not yet have a display name and/or email address. Fixed how maximum attachment size per post and edit cutoff time is calculated when a user has multiple secondary groups. Fixed some fields on the warning form not correctly indicating they are not available if the moderator does not have permission to change the punishment for the warning level the member will reach. Core - Mass Member Management Added Administrator Log when mass deleting/moving/unsubscribing members. Improved performance off mass moving members by skipping over accounts already in the target group. Removed the existing group from the form to move all members in one group to another. Fixed some tasks becoming locked when running tasks via cron. Fixed disabled reaction types showing in the reputation summary on user's profiles. Fixed error when saving some custom OAuth login methods. Fixed error if an application is disabled with certain background tasks still queued. Fixed it being possible to add a member back into a personal conversation after they've left by accessing the URL directly. Changed the "next" link which shows on mobile on the last page of a paginated table which, although disabled, points to a page that doesn't exist which was reported to trigger an error on some SEO diagnostics tools. I stopped by to grab the Christmas Noel theme and to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. In all honesty, after being a client for over 10 years, now I'm just totally confused! I know Pete has done a wonderful job of getting all the themes updated. The following is no reflection on Pete, Wotsit or Sherri. The site is crawling along, pages taking forever to start loading. It was yesterday too. All of the new Pages content has gone, just a default article. I had to reset my password after one attempt to log in locked me out for 15 minutes. The reset email got auto spammed by Gmail, when ?I tried to figure out why since IBTheme is in my contacts list, I realised its now being sent from a personal account. The site says IPS Themes, not IB Theme. Sherri admitted a lot of the IB Theme themes were outdated, and would be replaced. A new framework developed etc. Have they been replaced with themes from IPS Themes? They are very nice themes, but will we still have Sherri artistic seasonal themes? The navigation is all over the place. I can't find any details of my Premium Membership, it says I've never bought anything. There are references in the news forum about the being owned by someone else, who redirected the site to Invision Power Services, now we may need to re-register if a member of the previous site. No idea, what that's all about! I joined IBSkin then it got changed to IBTheme. Now it says IBS Themes? Who owns the site these days? Who is holding my data? Is all this connected to all those weird hacking emails sent out via CC instead of BCC, that revealed all of our email addresses? Is it all connected to the strange business practices, periods of absences etc? Why did the Chatbox go? Why the delay in restoring it? I honestly wonder what is happening as a customer, I'm looking for some genuine reassurances. Where are all the Themes? They are in the IPS Marketplace, I can't believe any business site can be run like this especially at Christmas. I can't see how after all the returns, reassurances, promises that I could still recommend IB Theme if its still called that or how I could renew my subscription. We need some transparency, regular news updates, what is the plan, what's happening with the business? Has it been sold? Are we members of IPS Themes? What's happening in terms of security re our personal membership data etc? Will IB Theme be GDPR compliant? Probably best not to go there just yet! Lots to think about, but hopefully 2018 will be a better year for all at IBTheme.com, staff and customers. All the best. PS. After composing this post and saving it, the site logged me out and showed me as a guest! Aargh. Thank god it saved my content in the Editor. Let's try this again.
